Dahan Technology DHL3380 (220 ton) DHL1900 (125 ton) Luffing Jib Tower Cranes Project

On the flat and expansive Plain, the steel arms of Dahan Technology stretched out gracefully in the air. At the construction site of the 50MW wind power generation demonstration project of State Power Investment Corporation, two tower cranes - DHL3380-220T and DHL1900-125T, manufactured by Dahan Technology, were all in place. The two machines worked collaboratively and officially entered the practical operation of the project's hoisting, taking on the task of hoisting 8 large-megawatt ultra-high hybrid tower units for the wind power project. With domestic high-end lifting equipment, Dahan Technology has contributed to accelerating and enhancing the efficiency of new energy construction in North China.

With the rapid development of the domestic wind power industry, large-megawatt wind turbines and ultra-high hybrid towers have become the mainstream direction for onshore wind power development. The North China Plain has an open terrain and complex high-altitude airflow. The height of wind turbine towers is constantly breaking new records, and the weight of components is continuously increasing. This poses extremely high requirements for the lifting height, rated load, wind resistance stability, and continuous operation capabilities of lifting equipment. Traditional lifting equipment generally has shortcomings such as insufficient working height, significant attenuation of heavy-lifting at high altitudes, and limited wind resistance capacity in scenarios with towers over 180 meters high. These shortcomings bring considerable challenges to project construction. Based on the actual working conditions of domestic wind farms, Dahan Technology has specially developed wind power-specific articulated tower cranes. By using customized equipment, they have solved the pain points of ultra-high hybrid tower lifting.

The two Dahan Technology wind electric boom cranes invested in this wind power project were specially customized to meet the actual needs of the construction site. The flagship wind electric boom crane DHL3380-220T is equipped with a 200-meter tower body, foundation sections, multiple sets of reinforcing sections and a complete chassis upon leaving the factory. The maximum working height of the hook when the boom is lowered can reach 235 meters, with a rated lifting capacity of 220 tons. Under the 70-meter boom length condition, the maximum lowering height of the hook is 210.7 meters, and the rated load at a 16-meter radius is 161.2 tons. It can fully cover the entire section of the ultra-high hybrid tower hoisting and perfectly adapt to the high-intensity and uninterrupted construction rhythm of the plain wind farm.

The DHL1900-125T, which is in line with it, also underwent important condition modifications. The equipment base was modified to adapt to the DHL3380 model system, and a dedicated conversion section was added. The tower height is 180 meters, and the rated lifting capacity is 125 tons. Under the 60-meter boom length condition, the maximum lowering height of the hook is 174.5 meters, and it can independently complete the segmented hoisting of the hybrid tower. The combination of the large and small two machines forms a height-matched and capacity-complementary operation group. Different machine positions and tower heights, as well as component weights, can be flexibly allocated for hoisting tasks, effectively reducing equipment transportation, optimizing on-site construction organization, and further enhancing the construction efficiency at the construction site.

Domestic equipment manufacturers, represented by Dahan Technology, have been continuously deepening their efforts in the wind turbine hoisting sector. They incorporate the actual on-site requirements into the product development, design, and manufacturing processes, achieving customized equipment modifications and complete set delivery. Coupled with a comprehensive after-sales service system, they provide integrated hoisting solutions for wind power projects. The successful implementation of the double-machine operation at the Zhaqiang project is a vivid example of the large-scale application of domestic wind turbine boom tower cranes.
